My memories of Uncle Sonny are many but here are a few he left with me for keeps: positive attitudes even when as kids we were told no, funny funny talks that included everybody, lots of smiles that started the very second you saw him, explanations that taught you something even if it wasn't you he was speaking to, encouraging words, family fun around the table on the back porch, reminisce about good memories and it makes you happy, caring means something, a rare stern look because we needed it as kids followed by his smile - happiness is contagious and he definitely spread it around, so you should not be sad since I don't expect he's let up any now either!

Uncle Sonnny was my Mom (Libby Carr Dodd) favorite uncle. They shared a bond that somehow kept them connected no matter what happened in life. The two of them could talk family history and swap stories for hours on end with as much passion as I have ever witness between two people. Their love for each other was evident whenever anyone saw them together. Uncle Sonny could light up a room with just his smile, which was always on his face. He will be missed greatly but I never met a man that enjoyed life more than he did. To his children I send all my love and prayers and to let you know I smile every time Uncle Sonny enters my thoughts.
