Jarrod,

It is still hard for me to believe that you are no longer with us. I know, however, that you are in a better place looking down on all of us.

To Stephanie, James, Debra, and family:

I just want each of you to know how much I love you. As difficult as it is, I know that we will get through this. We do not want Jarrod's death to be in vain. I hope that we can turn this tragedy into something positive for others. If one person can hear Jarrod's story, than maybe another life will be spared.

Signed with X's and O's,

Steven, Kristy and Ruth Thigpen

There comes a time in everyone’s life
when you lose someone you love
they’re here today
but gone tomorrow
to a better place, above
and when I think
of the times we shared
those childhood memories
I cannot be sad
even though you’re gone
they’ll always stay with me

I know you can hear me
you know my heart cries out loud
when I think about you
you’ll always make me proud
in my eyes you have done no wrong
and your memories will live on

I remember the day
when I got the news
about the one I was going to lose
but the Simple Man will carry on
in our hearts you will stay strong

Brother, you’re a hero
and a legend in your own time
a shining star in the Southern Sky
My love for you will never die
So fly on Freebird
and let God hear my words
even after life, our love is strong
God Bless You

Jarrod, I know we always had our differences, but we were always friends. The older we both got the closer we had become. There were so many things I wanted to do with you, but now I don't have the chance. I feel like I have been robbed. You were always there for me and your silly smile and corny jokes brightened my days. Losing you like we did is something I would never wish on my worst enemy. I don't know what the days ahead will bring but I will try to be strong. I know I am hurt and angry. I know you're in heaven shining down on me. I miss you and I love you.

P.S. Beau loves and misses you too. We are taking great care of him.
