JENETTE PIPER Obituary

Jenette Mae Piper, devoted wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother, peacefully passed away on November 6 after a brief illness at the Germantown Methodist Hospital. Always smiling and filled with life, she was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed especially by her loving and devoted husband of 49 years, Ret Lt Col James Piper and her ‘boys’ James, Richard, David and Stephen, two daughters-in-law; and of course her grand ‘babies’: Victoria and William. Born in Drumright, OK, Jenette began her life with extra love from the start with her twin sister, Jenelle. They were inseparable and even could finish each other’s sentences. In addition to being a stay at home mom, her career included being an Airline Stewardess, radio disk jockey, real estate agent, and she was a very crafty person, selling handmade crafts with her own company: Piper Designs. Her love for antiques always had her looking for that next treasure. But when her grandkids came along it was all about them. She is survived by her husband James Piper and her four sons, James, Richard, David, Stephen and their families, her twin sister Jenelle and her family along with a multitude of friends. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 13 at 11 a.m. in “The Sanctuary on the Square” where Jim and Jenette attended Collierville United Methodist Church, a church Jenette loved and enjoyed. The family will receive friends at their home following the service with refreshments provided by the “Open Door” Sunday school class. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to their church, Collierville United Methodist Church Senior Adult Ministry and preservation of The Church on the Square. Jenette will live in our hearts forever. Condolences may be offered at www.tbd-online.com Collierville Funeral Home 901-853-2628 www.ColliervilleFuneral.com
