Amanda Goodwin Obituary
Pittsfield, NH - Amanda L. Goodwin, 49 of Pittsfield, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 5, 1974 in Oscoda, MI, she was the daughter of Guy Goodwin and his partner Faith and Debra Goodwin and her partner Frank Griffin.
Amanda was a graduate of Merrimack Valley High School and was employed for several years with the Red Cross. She loved Arts and Crafts, listening to music especially bands like Boston, Journey and artists like Elton John and Billy Joel. She may have enjoyed cats more than humans, more specifically her cat known as "Old Man"
Besides her parents, she is survived by her brother, Kurt Goodwin, her nephew, Ethan Goodwin, Uncle, Randy Hunt and his wife Jennifer, Aunt, Marilyn Day and her husband J.L. and her longtime caregiver and friend Jean Williams as well as numerous friends.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 10AM-12PM at the Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke. Interment will follow at the New Hopkinton Cemetery in Hopkinton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Independent Service Network, P. O. Box 1111, Manchester, NH 03105. In my many years of nursing and of all the people I have served, Amanda has been and will always be a shining star. Her spirit was unwavering, her wit unmatched as she navigated through a life filled with challenges but always crossed the finish lines a champion. I think of you often Amanda. No one swayed your determination to do the best you could in any situation. And if you didn´t want to go along with the plan, you made your own decision & nothing could change that. We learned a lot from you. We miss you on the dance floor and I hope you are celebrating in heaven

It has been many moons since I had the privilege of supporting Amanda as she went about her day, way back to when she provided quality control and packaging at DJC designs! I remember rocking out to Boston and Journey, her love of humor and teasing and of course that beautiful smile! My heartfelt thoughts and condolences go out to her family and caregivers.
