Barbara Letts Obituary

Barbara Wissler Letts
April 25, 1957 - July 17, 2014
Danville, CA
Barbara passed away July 17, 2014, after an extended illness with ALS. She never gave in and never let the disease define her. Barb was a stand and a commitment for all around her to live an inspired life they love. She lived this right through her illness. She will be terribly missed by her family, her many friends, co-workers, and colleagues.
Born in Madison WI to the late Kay and Dick Wissler and raised in Hudson OH, Barb attended Hudson High School and was an award-winning artist growing up. She received a BFA from Ohio Wesleyan University. After college she moved to Dallas and started a 20+ year career with Neopost, based in Hayward CA. Multiple promotions moved her west to Orange County and then to Danville.
Through her successful business career, active participation with Landmark Education, and involvement at Greenbrook School, Barb inspired, encouraged and challenged those around her. She produced exceptional results, made it creative and fun, and established lifelong relationships along the way.
Barbara is survived by her husband Greg, her son Hayden, her daughter Kathryn and her brother Randy Wissler of Ohio; Aunt Anne Ruffner, Aunt Shirley and Uncle Ron Freshley of Ohio; cousins Ron (Amy) Ruffner and Diane (Ralph) Grant of Florida, Anne (Roger Holnback) Howard of Virginia, Keith (Amanda) Ruffner and Dan (Jill) Freshley of Ohio; parents-in-law Noreen and Dick Letts, brother-in-law Doug Letts, and sister-in-law Karen (David) Wisser.
A memorial picnic will be held September 13.
In lieu of flowers please support Augie's Quest to find a cure, or the ALS Association, that supports patients and their families.
