Louis Bellaud

Holderness, NH - Louis E. Bellaud, age 90 of Holderness, NH, who was predeceased by his wife of over 60 years Pauline Ducharme Bellaud, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025 at Peabody Place in Franklin, NH.

Louis was born on January 19, 1935, in Manchester, NH to the late parents of Jean D. Bellaud and Urilda Belanger Bellaud who resided in Manchester. He graduated from St. Anselm College, received a Master's Degree from the University of Vermont, and had a long career as a medical billing specialist at Blue Cross Blue Shield and then opened his own company, Birchdale Consultants.

Louis and Pauline raised their family in Bow, NH before retiring to Holderness in 2003. Louis was a person of great faith and a devout parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Meredith. Louis enjoyed his many years of coaching hockey and lacrosse and was very proud that he continued to referee and play hockey until he was 80 years old. An avid fisherman, he found solace and joy on Squam Lake, where he built lifelong friendships. Louis cared deeply for his community, he was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need, he was always supportive, and he was an eternal optimist.

Louis is survived by his sons: Marc and his wife Kate of Westborough, MA; and John and his wife Maya of Chandler, AZ; three grandchildren Luke, Colin and Porter Bellaud; and several nieces and nephews that he cherished.

Louis's family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Peabody Place and the Franklin VNA for their wonderful care and many acts of kindness and support during his illness.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Meredith, beginning with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral liturgy at 11:00 a.m.
