Henniker, NH - Muriel F Blake 97, of Henniker, passed away March 14, 2023 at Concord Hospital.

She was born on April 9, 1925, daughter of the late Winslow and Hilda Ferguson.

Muriel and her husband Lewis raised their family in Contoocook, where she worked at Merrimack County Telephone and the Classic Villager Dress Shop. Muriel was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was an active member of the Contoocook United Methodist Church for 76 years, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the CUMC Women's Group. She loved her dogs, sailing at Lake Winnipesaukee, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family at the cottage. Muriel will be remembered for her wit, sense of humor and love of family.

She is predeceased by her husband Lewis Blake; grandson Christopher Hegnauer; brother Mike Ferguson; sisters Mildred Rogers and Phyllis Batchalder; and grandson-in-law Nathan Berry.

She is survived by her sister Virginia Rogers (Exeter); children David Blake, wife Priscilla (Hopkinton); Kathleen Hegnauer, husband David (Hopkinton); Joyce Johnson, husband Bruce (Henniker); and Jeffery Blake (Wilmot). Grandchildren Carol Gates, husband Jim (MO); Kate Eldridge, husband Micheal (VT); Evan Johnson, wife Joanne (Hopkinton); Dr. Amanda Hegnauer (Weare); Elise Korbet, husband Jonathan (Henniker); and Magdala Johnson (Hopkinton). Great-grandchildren Adam, Luke, Izabel, Alexis, Gretchen, Ella-Mai, Emilie, Alanya, Julianna and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside memorial will be Friday, May 19 at 11am at Contoocook Cemetery. All family and friends are welcome.
