We are all still missing you one year later at Hannaford's. So many people are still talking about you including customers who saw you as more than an employee of the company. We reminisce about our short time spent with you , kidding around, having fun even though we were working . You sure had an impact on everyone around you and we can't not listen to a Beatles song without thinking of you (especially Dear Prudence) . Rest in Strawberry Fields forever dear friend. Some day we shall meet again......

My thoughts are with the entire Arnold family during this unbelievably difficult time. I always thought the world of Peter and the entire clan. I had only seen Peter briefly within the past couple of years at Shaw's and it was good to say hello and reconnect for a minute. I always remember how he was the one friend who would pick up one of my babies when he came to visit without any hesitation. Fond memories of a Beatles tribute band at the Capital Center and of dinners, board games and time spent together in the 1980's. The obituary was so well written and detailed what an extraordinary man he was.
My deepest sympathies to all.

I didn't know Peter personally, but we were all there when the store first opened, and he was thoughtful to everyone around him. I learned so much from him with being a lead and how management works in these 2+ years. I remember as well how he always offered chocolate to people at work to help them through the day, and I would always deny it for have it melt in my pocket later. He cared so much for his department, and did his best to help his coworkers grow. So many customers enjoy their time together with him while he prepared their meal. He put the effort in each day to make everyone smile and laugh. Rest peacefully.

Peter and I met when I was, for all intents and purposes, still a child at 22. He was more than a boss to me. He took me under his wing and showed me how to grow up. He taught me how to be a man and still be just a big child. Bosses at big chains don't need to go out of their way to be friends with their associates, but Peter made me feel special the whole year I worked with him. He made sure I knew I always had a place to come back to, and that I could always use him as a reference or for help. I'm not sure that he knew how deeply and profoundly he impacted my life, but I will never forget him. Playing tennis and cribbage after work, and all sorts of odd jobs together brought us closer together, but his infectious smile and good nature, his leadership and mentorship, and his firm handshakes in an effort to make me flinch, all while having a smile on his face, will be how I remember him. The world is a sadder place without Peter's light in it, but I am eternally greatful to have had him in my life to show me the way. I hope to be able to live a life worthy of such an amazing role model. My prayers go to his family.

I am deeply saddened to hear about Peter. Lots of good times we had and I cherish those memories to this day. My thoughts are with you all.

Pete was just a wonderful person who's love for all things people, skiing, vintage car related, music, etc just seemed to make him glow. As a previous Morris Garage owner, I was just elated to hear that Pete had got himself one (a daring young lad indeed)! I just knew he'd have the best time with it just we I had.
Our most sincere condolences to the greater Arnold family. I'll never forget Pete's beaming smile! RIP my friend.

Deepest heartfelt condolences to all of the Arnold family. My your memories give you comfort. I have lots of wonderful memories from the Weeks days (dressing up as the 3 musketeers with Pete and Deb and going for ice cream at Weeks after a Halloween party only to have the Concord Police knocking on the window to see if we were supposed to be there in the middle of the night eating ice cream) to him taking my yoga classes at the club when he lived in Laconia. Pete was there for me during a very difficult time in my life, I will be forever grateful to him for that. We all felt like family working at Weeks and even with all the time that passes those memories and relationships are a part of us! Sending you love, prayers and friendship.

Deeply saddened by the news that we lost Pete. Friends since Rundlett, we formed our first band with Pete playing bass. Both our love of the Beatles made it easy to play together, though it was Pete's easy going attitude that made it fun.
I didn't see Pete as often as adults, but when we'd run into each other, we'd always pick up right where we left off. In fact, I'll never forget the day I was admiring this meticulously restored MG in the Hannaford parking lot. About 10 steps beyond I looked up and saw Pete walking toward me smiling... I immediately knew the car was his. We had a great visit and not only talked about the car, Pete was proud to share that he now had Hofner violin bass. (Of course, the very model McCartney plays). So many more memories bring a smile to my face.
One of the nicest people I've known, we lost one of the good guys... I'll miss Pete dearly.
My thought and prayers go out to his family.

I knew Peter as a customer at Hannafords in Bedford, NH. Peter was a great person and always treated me as a valued customer. I considered him a friend even though I did not know him very long, that being less than two years. He use to tell me about his skiing trips and his love of skiing. He was a great asset to Hannafords and one of my favorite people there. He used to make me laugh alot sometimes when he was joking around. I truly find it very upsetting to me that such a great person is gone. I will miss him as well as everyone else. Stephen

I met Peter at a young age . We were friends throughout our school years. Having known him changed the trajectory of my life, from having fun and making memories at the beautiful Arnold family home where I felt honored to be invited to working at Weeks and making lifelong friendships there. Those memories are the foundation of my life. Peter once brought me to the hospital in Lincoln after I unsuccessfully tried to impress him with my skiing abilities at Loon Mtn. Damn he was a good skier and I never could keep up but he waited. Another time he happened by when my mothers dog , (she's a huge pet person) got hit by a car and was bloody by the roadside. He stopped and without hesitation offered to load the bloody dog into his meticulously clean car and brought it to the vet saving its life and solidifying him on my mothers list of heroic people thus giving me plenty of opportunity to escape house rules by simply saying "I'm hanging out with Peter tonight" . As we grew older I ran into him from time to time and we would reminisce about the foolish things we did in our younger years with each trying to decide which of the other was still doing them :-) that morphed into us trying to outdo each other with good deeds. I thought I had him at "I bring extra gas on my truck driving route in case I see somebody in need" and he threw down " I play scrabble with homeless people ..you should come"... point set match . I already miss that sort of banter. RIP my friend .I'm forever grateful for the friendship we enjoyed early on and the memories made . In your honor I intend to make a donation to the coalition to end homelessness.
