Ronald Barth Obituary

Ronald Peter Barth

Concord, NH - Ronald Peter Barth, 94, of Concord, NH entered eternal rest on November 14th, 2025. Ron was born in Jersey City, NJ on December 26th, 1930, the elder of two children to Peter and Helen (LePain) Barth. Raised in Bloomfield NJ, Ron graduated from Seton Hall University with a marketing degree then served in the U.S. Navy aboard cruiser USS Northampton during the Korean War. After his military service, he went on to get his MBA from Seton Hall University. He began his professional career with Colonial Life, where he met his wife, Carol. They originally settled in Verona, NJ where they had five children. He was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake in Verona, NJ and was an active member of the Christian Family Movement, as well as a coach for little league baseball teams.

Ron and Carol moved to Concord, NH in 1985 to continue his career at Chubb, where he worked until his retirement in 1992. Ron was a parishioner at Christ the King Parish until his death. Ron most enjoyed his time spent with his many grandchildren, family vacations on Cape Cod and the Outer Banks, and playing bartender for family gatherings. Ron was a devoted sports fan, rooting for the New York Yankees, the New York Giants, Notre Dame football, and Seton Hall basketball. Ron was an avid runner, competing in many local road races of 5k to 10k distances. Ron will be fondly remembered for his ping pong skills, superior lawn maintenance, and friendship with his favorite neighborhood chipmunk, "Chippy".

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Helen Barth, and his sister Diane H. Barth.

Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Carol R. (Moran) Barth and their five children Kenneth (Barbara), Joann, Linda (Roch), Patricia (Donald), and Robert (Brenda). Remembered as "troublemaker" to his thirteen grandchildren: Joseph (Brooke), Alex (Kerri), Emily (Matt), Allison, Timothy (Mikaela), Madeline, Kristina, Abigail (Nate), Katelyn, Daniel, Olivia, Grayson, and Jack. As well as his great-grandson Alex and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Christ the King Parish (72 S. Main Street in Concord, NH 03301) on Friday, November 21st from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will immediately follow at 10:30 AM. A livestream of his funeral Mass will be available online (both live and recorded) at https://www.youtube.com/christthekingnh. A military burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, New Hampshire.

The family would like to thank Age At Home, Granite VNA, and The Birches for their TLC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's name to Christ the King Food Pantry in Concord, New Hampshire (https://christthekingfoodpantry.org/) or Granite VNA (https://www.granitevna.org/donate/).

I worked with Ron at Chubb Life. He was always happily answering any questions I had and always made me laugh. I have fun memories of running in road races with him as well. My best to his family at this sad time.

This news makes me so sad. Ron and I worked together during the Chubb Life years under Dick Croak. He was a wonderful man who loved to laugh. He and I were tasked with setting up the errors and omissions program for the agents of Chubb Life. He was such a great person to work with. Thanks for your Christmas card each year. He cared about everyone. Rest easy, Ron. We are all better for having known you. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
