So sad to hear of Steve's passing. He had such a zest for life! His actions showed us all how much he loved this community - but most of all how much he loved his family. I will miss our conversations about grandbabies, his humor and his laughter. Ellen, please let me know if there is anything that I can do

My heart has shattered upon hearing the news of Steve's passing and the loss of this wonderful man that will leave a tremendous void in my life and that of so many others. As a fellow compatriot who fought USA Springs alongside Steve and Ellen, no better Champions could be found in protecting water rights and the interests of the Town of Barrington than them. Steve loved life to the fullest each and every day. Alongside Ellen, he could and did conquer life. I am forever grateful for Steve's guidance and support over so many years. His best work, however, was as that of husband, father and grandfather. He delighted in every antic, laugh and moment with his grandchildren all of who exhibited brillance equal only to that of their grandfather's. His wit was legendary and I can hear Steve now correcting everyone about how the story really went. I will miss him deeply. Ellen, I send all my love and hope that each memory with Steve sustains you in the days ahead.

To All of Steve's Family:
My sincere condolences on your loss of Steve. I had the pleasure of working with Steve as his secretary at PNS back in the early 90's. He always had a great sense of humor and was a joy to work with and to know. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

Such sad news! Our deep condolences go out to Ellen and family. Steve will be very missed in the community where he brought intelligence and doggedness to bear on environmental issues. He first alerted us to the USA Springs fiasco.
