Warren Preston Sr. Obituary
Mr. Preston was born Nov. 22, 1938, in Northfield, Minn., a son of the late Alfred W. and Irma L. (Bice) Preston.
Warren was raised in Mankato, Minn. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served his country honorably for more than 10 years, returned home, and completed his bachelor's degree in economics from Mankato State University and later earned a master's degree in business administration. His career included several leadership roles. He worked as a commodities broker for many years before owning his own business until he retired in the early 1990s. He and the love of his life, Patricia A. (Laven) Preston, relocated to Rye in 2013 to be near family.
In addition to Patricia, Warren leaves his sons Warren E. Preston Jr. of Concord, Brian P. Preston and his wife, Yvonne, of Hookset and Bradley T. Preston and his wife, Ajai, of Laconia; his daughter, Kimberly Pope, and her husband, Kerry, of Rye; and his brother, Alfred Preston, and his wife, Marcella, of Fort Myers, Fla. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren Joshua, Madeline, Julia, Grace, Cole, Josh, Ryan, Kyle and Kaylee; his great-grandchild, Alyia; and many nieces, nephews, friends and associates.
He was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Sheryl Stouffer, and his grandson, Zachary Preston.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016. at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Route 3, Boscawen. Family and friends are respectfully invited.
If desired, the family requests memorial donations to Bethany Church, 500 Breakfast Hill Road, Greenland 03840. Arrangements are being handled by the Remick and Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory of Hampton.
