Waldean Hall

Waldean Hall, age 80, of Appling, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025.


She was born in Savannah, Georgia, to Waldo Alfonso Howard and Mary Kicklighter Howard, who both preceded her in death, along with her sister, Joann Howard.


Waldean is survived by her husband, Jerry Lee Hall; her loving son, Clayton Brian Hall; and her sister, Linda Banta.


She went by many names because she carried so many titles and meant so much to so many. A loving devoted wife and "Honey" of 57 years to her husband Jerry. A perfect mother, known as "Dear" and "Kitchen Boss" to her son Clay and affectionately known as "Aunt Lolline" to a large family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and even great-great-nieces and nephews. She was also known as Mrs. Waldean or Mrs. Hall to the many students and friends whose lives she touched during her 21 years in the classroom.


Following her retirement, Waldean found joy in gardening-turning her yard into a picture-perfect landscape with her green thumb-harvesting vegetables, and continuing to bless her family with unforgettable meals made in her kitchen. Her cooking was as legendary as her love, and both were shared freely.


She was the sunshine in everyone's day, always ready with a witty comment and a warm smile that could lift any spirit.


To honor Waldean's vibrant and loving personality, the family kindly asks that those attending services wear floral or bright colors, as a celebration of her beautiful life.


Visitation: 11 am – 12 noon Friday, July 11, 2025 in the funeral home.


Funeral: 12 noon Friday, July 11, 2025 in the funeral home chapel.


Interment: Bonaventure Cemetery
