Bryan Stuart Obituary

Bryan Donald Stuart, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, left this world on October 2, 2024, in Stowe, Vermont, at the age of 67. A resident of The Woodlands, Texas, since 1990, Bryan loved many things. He was at his happiest sailing in the Caribbean, skiing down fresh powder in Colorado, viewing the Vermont fall foliage at the Trapp Family Lodge, sitting behind home plate in the family seats at Fenway Park, finding the best possible deal for his next adventure, fixing anything and everything in MacGyver-like fashion to innovating and building state-of-the-art swimming pools.

Bryan Stuart was born on November 29, 1956, in Gardner, Massachusetts. The son of Donald and Joan Stuart, Bryan grew up on Parker Hill Road in Gardner, one street over from childhood friend and future wife, Deborah (Debbie) Georgi. He graduated from Gardner High School, where he was the lead yearbook photographer and led the stage crew construction for theater productions, in 1975. He then attended the University of Denver, where he graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and became a devoted member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, an organization he supported the following four-plus decades.

He spent the next decade working in furniture sales, most notably for his family company, Temple-Stuart Furniture. In that time he rekindled with Debbie, with whom he moved to Texas and married on December 8, 1991. With Debbie alongside him, Bryan left the furniture business in 1991. Originally specializing in home irrigation and landscaping under the name A Total Coverage, Bryan and Deb got into swimming pool development and installation in 1999. That venture led to Ultimate Pools, a company that has loyally served customers in the Houston area for the past quarter century. Bryan was also the founding member and president of The Woodlands Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter.

Bryan is survived by his wife Deb; two children, Bryanna Varnado (Bret) and Nicholas Stuart; two stepchildren, T.J. Berka and Jenn Kapral (Nick); four grandchildren (Henry Kapral, Haleigh Kapral, Braxton Varnado and Brighton Varnado); his brother J.P., stepmother Dolly Dooley-Stuart, two stepbrothers (Shaun Dooley and Scott Dooley); eight nieces and nephews and several more relatives. Bryan is preceded in death by his father Donald, mother Joan and brother Alan.

A remembrance of Bryan will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21 at Pallotta's Italian Grill, 27606 Interstate 45, Oak Ridge North, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Bryan Stuart to The General 5 Three Peaks Medical Clinic in Vermont (https://www.threepeaksmedicalclinic.org/donate), C-RAD, Colorado Rapid Avalanche Deployment (https://c-rad.org/), and The Huntsman Cancer Institute (https://healthcare.utah.edu/huntsmancancerinstitute/foundation/ sigma-chi).
