1940 - 2025

SANDRA SUE SHUMAKER, 84, Went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2025 in Montgomery, Texas after a brief illness. Born April 6, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri, Sandra moved to Texas as a teenager, graduated from Harlingen Texas High School and attended The University of Missouri. Returning to Texas she was an avid golfer and league bowler for many years. She enjoyed her dogs, cooking, bingo, football pots and traveling. She had been to all 50 States and around the World. But mostly she enjoyed being at her home on Lake Conroe. Sandra was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother "Yellow Nana" and will be dearly missed by all who knew her as she touched the lives of so many people. We will all miss her great wit and sense of humor. Preceded in death by: grandparents, Henry and Corda Patterson; parents, Pauldean and Helen Patterson; Deceased husband, Raymond Connell. She is survived by her husband of 36 years William "Fritz" Shumaker, Her daughter Deana Connell-Born and husband David of Spring, TX; grandsons Taylor Born and Hunter Born of Spring, TX; and numerous step-children, grandchildren, great greatchildren and friends too many to mention from here to Indiana.

*A Memorial Service and Celebration Of Life for Sandra will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 10:30 AM at The April Sound Church. 67- 1/2 April Wind Drive S, Montgomery, TX. 77356. A Luncheon Reception will follow at The April Sound Country Club. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to The April Sound Church.
