Runnemede - Edward R. Gorczynski, on April 7, 2019, of Runnemede. Age 71. Beloved Husband of Mary Alyce "Mimi" (nee Lyons) for 37 years. Devoted Father of Kerry Stagliano (John), Heather Hagan (Brent), Bryan Gorczynski (Katie), Daniel Gorczynski, and Stacey Gorczynski (Matt Owens). Cherished Son-in-Law of Bill Lyons. Loving Pop-Pop of 6 and Great Grand-Pop of 2. Dear Brother of Henry Gorczynski (Carol). Also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, wonderful friends and the Kondras Family. Edward proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was also a member of the Polish-American Citizens Club, Runnemede VFW Post 3324, and the Bisons Club. There will be a viewing Saturday from 8:30am to 11:30am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Service 11:30am at the funeral home. Interment private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edward's memory to Vineland Veterans Memorial Home, Attn: Volunteer Office, A. Cruz, 524 N. West Blvd., Vineland, NJ 08360. I was just thinking about "Ski" and just searched for him and was sad to see his obituary. We were friends and shipmates on the USS San Jose. He was a loyal friend and a great shipmate. I have numerous memories of our friendship during our Navy days and proud to call him my friend.

My heart breaks because you lost your best friend and forever partner. Memories of Eddie bring smiles to my face and flutters in my heart. He was so genuine, Mimi, and was definitely 'heaven sent'. Mimi I am truly sorry. I am at a loss for words. Ed was truly a great guy and always had the ability to put a smile on someone's face. We'll miss Ed very much.. His passing left us in shock and grief - such a huge emptiness in the family group. Ed (and Mimi) always made us and everyone feel welcome to drop by. Imagine putting up with in-laws just dropping in anytime, never felt unwelcome or that we've come at a bad time and always feeding anyone that dropped in. Our holidays filled with a over abundance of food that Ed and Mimi cooked all day. Thanksgiving and Easter, in your house decorated so nice and you both made it look so effortless. Summer holidays with Ed at the grill pushing more hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken and crabs. Our kids and grandkids favorite place to visit.as Ed always interacted with the kids, pretending to break eggs over the little ones heads and them laughing so hard asking him to play the joke again and again, and he would indulge them. Taking the kids crabbing at the shore. Mimi we're just broken hearted and wish there were some way to help you and the kids and Dad through these difficult times ahead. We loved Ed.
