AGE: 20 • Mount Laurel
Joseph J., 20 of Mount Laurel, New Jersey died Wednesday, August 31, 2011.
Joseph was born in Voorhees, NJ and lived in Cherry Hill, NJ before moving to Mount Laurel 16 years ago. He graduated from Lenape High School in 2010. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Coleene P. (nee Mattia) Perla. He is survived by his father Joseph R. Perla; sister Gabrielle N. Perla; grandparents Joseph and Jean Perla, and cousin Celine Mattia.
The memorial service for Joseph will be private.

Joe, and Gab,
My memory of Joey is when he was very young and Colleen and he were coming to pick up Gabby. .
I do remember thinking about how close they seemed, I didn't have any boys, so it was very sweet to see them interact.
It is so sad and heart-breaking to have him leave, but I do hope that you find comfort in knowing Joey will be held and loved by his Mom.

Joe, Gab, Celine ...our hearts are broken, there are no words that can truly express these feelings. He was a wonderful boy and loved by so many. i wish you all peace in your warm memories of happier times together. We are here for you if you need a shoulder to lean on. To the Perla Family,
So sorry to hear the sad news about Joey. My heart goes out to you for your precious loss. The emotions can be so overwhelming when you lose someone you love dearly. It's as if you have lost a part of yourself. I know the unbearable pain of losing a son and my mother at a very young age. The experience of both were different, never the less, devastating! Suddenly every thing has changed! But, remembering all the wonderful moments you shared as a family can help to comfort you thru difficult times. And most of all, may the God of Love sustain you with His promise of HOPE for the future. When HE will soon end all suffering on the earth. How do we know this is not just some dream? Because what HE says always comes to BE! Hope will not take away the pain, but it will enable you to endure it.
HOPE; "HE will wipe out every tear from their eyes and DEATH will be NO more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. And the ONE seated on the throne said; "Look! I am making all things NEW.....these words are faithful and TRUE."

Joey, You were my best friend at PBI. And, This just doesnt seem fair! I will always cherish every moment we spent together, even the minor ones like smoking newports on the patio, or rapping.
