It's been almost 4 entire years and I still haven't gotten over his death since. I don't think I've met a more compassionate man in my life. He loved his family, his friends, and his fur babies, more than you could've imagined. Not only was his love strong, but he was a man of many talents. He was an amazing drummer, a great police officer, a skilled gamer, and an amazing brother and uncle to his siblings and nephews. My Uncle Bret, and my mother would agree. He was always a joy to be around, and I'll never forget the time he entrusted me with his Pokemon cards one fourth of July, or the time we played Super Smash Bros. for the N64 one summer. They were small moments, but they were still times I got to see a more geeky, fun loving side of him. I still have his Sonic the Hedgehog 2 cart in my room where it sits with my other video games. It was a birthday present he gave to me before he passed away and seeing it always makes me feel like he's still with me even if not physically. I wish I could show him how much I improved as an artist, and how my brother Avery has become adored with a franchise my Uncle held so dear to his heart, and has picked up drawing like I have. I never got to say good bye to him, and this may be the be the closest I'll ever get, so I just wanted to say " I miss you man, we all do, more than you could ever know. I hope when my time comes I'll get to join you in heaven so we can be together once more." Thanks to everyone who helped make his life that much better until his passing. - Evan Wellens

I didn't know how great a drummer Kyle was until I saw his video. That dude could really jam! He was such a gentle soul and I will be thinking about him for a long, long time to come. Public Safety brothers... R.I.P. brother.

Thank you all, for your kind words and prayers. Kyle was, like his father, a unique, sensitive, passionate and compassionate man. Why God would call them both is right now beyond my comprehension. But your messages have helped enormously as I struggle to accept yet another tragedy in this life. God bless you all

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Kyle and Gianna at Danielle and Andy's wedding. Everyone will have to live life for Kyle and do what he would want - to smile when you think of him and live a happy life for him. May you find strength in friendships and family.

A heartfelt message for Gianna & pets, Kyle's family and Gianna's family: When I met Kyle and Gianna many years ago while volunteering at Lawnside Petsmart, I immediately loved them. They were serious but fun, spunky, perfect together, couldn't seem to wait to live their next day, independently or together. I used to stop by when they were volunteering just to see them in action, share their infectious enthusiasm and hear a variety of their stories. God knows, they adored the animals, adopted the ones no one else wanted, and gave them the love they needed. When I found out they were resigning to pursue their education, I was happy for them but very sad for the Shelter. The families of these two wonderful young adults can be proud to have contributed such great children to the world. My heart breaks for you all. Gianna, you know how to reach out to me if you need to. I lost someone close to me the week before you lost Kyle, and would be happy to help you through your loss. So very fondly, Sandi
