Annabelle was born July 4, 1914, in Boonville to Alfred & Bessie Maude (Baker) Abshire. She was a member of Main St. United Methodist Church in Boonville and in later years she attended Hemenway Memorial Presbyterian Church in Boonville. Annabelle was a member of Captain Jacob Warrick Chapter DAR and Order of Eastern Star Chapter NO. 450 in Boonville.
She lived in Boonville all her life and had been a clerk for the ASCS office in Boonville many years. Annabelle dearly loved her family and especially baby-sitting for her great-grandchildren.
Preceding Annabelle in death was her husband, Peter J. Hanicq, in l964; her daughter, Nancy Ann Hart, in l998; a sister, Merle Greer; and two brothers, Alfred and Gene Abshire.
Annabelle is survived by her granddaughter, Caroline Fardig and husband, Matt, of Boonville; great-grandchildren, William and Elizabeth Fardig; and her son-in-law, Noble Hart Jr., of Evansville.
Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, from the Koehler Funeral Home-Boonville Chapel. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville. Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to service time at Koehler Funeral Home-Boonville Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Annabelle may be made to the Hemenway Memorial Presbyterian Church. Condolences and any special remembrance may be made online at www.koehlerfuneralhome.com.
