Barbara A. Davis, 78, of Evansville, IN passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Home. She was born June 18, 1938 to the late Freeman and Sara Beth (Hibbs) Rickard.
Barbara was a LPN at Good Samaritan Home for 20 years. She enjoyed golf, playing cards, and was an accomplished artist. She attended Crossroads Church.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Debra Davis; grandchildren, Heather, Ashley, and Faith Davis; niece, Lisa Stenson (Philip) all of Evansville; nephew, John Kent (Shannon) of Long Beach, CA; and brother-in-law, Fred Kent, of Evansville.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her son, Gerald Davis and sister, Betty Kent.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave. Evansville, IN 47714.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Mary Hurley officiating.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville, KY.
Memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess Hospice, 610 E. Walnut St. Evansville, IN 47713 or DaVita Dialysis, 1312 Professional Blvd. Evansville, IN 47714.

Ms Barb was my mother's roomy at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home. We had many laughs and tears over the time she was there. She was such a blessing for my mother. She always had a smile and sweet words every time I would leave after visiting my mother, even through her pain. She will be deeply missed.
