Berniece was such a dear and good friend to me;
she was a source of inspiration, amazement even, that she could accomplish so much, for so many causes. Her reminder calls for meetings always turned into conversations. Condolences to all of us who will miss her sweet presence. May God rest her sweet soul.

In recent years, Bernice and I have shared political views on a weekly basis. While we have lost a very gracious lady, this has been heavens gain.

We will miss Berniece very much at New Horizon Fellowship. So gentle and kind, her smiles and encouragement were great blessings to my husband and me. We know that she is safe and in the joyful presence of the Lord Jesus, now. The very words of my previous statement comfort me, as I remember her kindness when my own mother died quite suddenly only 3 weeks ago. When I think of Berniece walking in God's perfect Heaven, it eases my own grief as I know that Mother is there with her too. And for them, it is joy unspeakable. Appropriate as it is to grieve now, It is my prayer that one day soon, we too will fully rejoice with them in their home going.

Berniece will be missed so much by so many. She didn't just have friends, she had admirers. She was admired for her dedication to the beliefs that she held and the many endeavors that she embarked on. She was a fine example of a good neighbor, a good friend and a good Christian.
We will miss her and never forget her. We have been blessed to know her and are thankful for God putting her in our path.
Her family is in our prayers.

"Bernice and I were first cousins and I have many fond memories of family visits and spending weeks at each others homes in the summertime. In later years, Bernice was a wealth of information regarding our family history. Since we were both nurses, we also shared many stories about our professional experiences. She will be sorely missed but always remembered for her kindness and concern for others.
