James Evans Obituary
Evansville - James W. Evans, 63, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at his home. He was born February 14, 1956 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Alanson and Laura (McPeek) Evans.
James was retired and enjoyed all sports, especially Ohio State football and Cincinnati Reds' baseball.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sherry L. Evans; daughters, Jacki (Derrick) Youngblood of Columbus, OH and Ashley Pickerill of Sandusky, OH; grandchildren, Luke and Jordan Youngblood, Aniya and Alivia Garcia, Amelia and Aliyza Pickerill; sisters, Kay Schock, Mary (Ted) Allen, Jeanie (Vince) Giunta, Jane (Dale) Trickey, Jan (Kenzie) Endicott; brother, Allen (Renee) Evans.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sherry Rarey; brothers, Phil and Chuck Evans.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2020 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 First Ave., Evansville, 47710. The funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at a later date.

The first time I met Jim I could tell that he made Sherry very happy, he was nice and made her laugh. That made me happy for her. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers for the family.
