John Clemens Obituary
-
1924-2018 -- John Forrest Clemens, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Beloved husband of Joyce Clemens; father to Sam (Barbara) Clemens, Tom (Jill) Clemens, Sarah (Tom) Haenni, Tess (Craig) Niehaus, Julie (Jim) Killeen, and Angie (Bret) Kimes. Grandfather to 24 loving grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
John was a 60 year member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. John and Joyce were married for 66 years. John was born in Evansville, Indiana, attended the University of Notre Dame and worked for McDonnell Douglas for 29 years. He was an avid woodworker and radio ham for 80 years. He will be remembered as a gentle man who loved his family dearly. One of his frequent quotes was "I wouldn't trade my life with anybody."
Visitation will be held at 9:00am on Saturday, Aug. 4 at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 676 W. Lockwood Ave., Webster Groves, 63119 followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment St. Paul Churchyard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Birthright St. Louis or Mercy Hospice. www.boppchapel.com
