Margaret Cavins Obituary
Madisonville, Ky.
Margaret Ann Cavins, 76, of Madisonville, Ky., went to her eternal peace and joy on Friday, April 3, 2015. Margaret was born in Evansville, Ind., on March 1, 1938 to her parents, William E. and Nancy A. Lambert.
Margaret attended Central High School and married her husband of 60 years, Raymond Cavins, in 1956. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Margret was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Madisonville where she was very involved with various women's church groups including the Ecumenical Cursillo.
Margaret leaves behind her husband, Raymond Cavins; children, Kenneth Ray Cavins (Willie), Howard Cavins (Pamela), Michelle Gibson (David), Lori Williams (Roy), and Nancy C. Groves (Kevin); 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dorothy Lambert; brothers, Edward, Bill, and Charles Lambert.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at noon at Sunset Funeral Home, 1800 St. George Road, Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Donald Cavins of Fairlawn United Methodist Church of Evansville officiating. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation for Margaret will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 3 until 7 p.m. and again Friday morning from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 96280, Washington, DC 20077, or to Baptist Health Hospice, 418 North Scott St., Madisonville, KY 42431.
