Mary Byers Obituary
Chandler, Ind.
Mary B. Byers, 79, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Golden Living Woodlands in Newburgh.
Mary was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed softball, horseback and motorcycle riding, bingo, family gatherings and cooking. She loved spending time with her family.
A special thank you to Golden Living Woodlands Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Laverne Byers; and brothers, Frankie and Billy Stephens.
Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bill Byers of Chandler; three children, Shirley Melton (Larry), of Newburgh, Terry Byers (Tammy), of Montgomery, IN, and Neil Byers, of Chandler; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Audrey Byers (Jerry), of Gentryville; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service 10 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2014, at Koehler Funeral Home Perigo Chapel 7022 Heim Road Chandler, IN, with Rev. Robert Helms officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Chandler.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at Koehler Funeral Home Perigo Chapel in Chandler.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mary may be made to Faith Free Will Baptist Church.

Shirley, Larry, Melissa and the rest of the family you all are in our thoughts and prayers. We only met Mary a few times, she was a very nice lady.
We are glad we could help with her transportation so she could enjoy quality time with her family.
I know you all will miss her dearly. The loss of your mom and grandmother leaves such a void in your hearts. Trust in God to help you through this time of loss.

Shirley, Neil and the rest of the family, so sorry for your loss... Mary was a great lady and I am glad to have gotten the opportunity to care for her and know her throughout the years. She will be missed by so many here. Love and prayers being sent to you all.
