Donna & Margaret, I thank you for sharing your wonderful parents with me. You two were some of my "first" friends in IN and I will always appreciate that. Mavis was a special woman , mother, and friend. I often experienced those surprise visits and we'd be off on an adventure. Always truthful, giving, sincere, & helpful your mother is surely missed by all. Thank you Mavis, we love you. Well done, RIP...

to my daughter maragret ,
I am so sorry I can not be with you doing your time of grief but do know my heart is feeling your sorrow , there will be nothing that can take away your pain you feel in your heart at this time, but I a living witness that god will lighten yor grief in time , he will walk by yor side and hold your hand thru this tribulation and you will know he is there to lighten your load, i cannot take the place of mavis in life or in your heart , but rest assure I will always be there for you holding your hand thru any trial you may encounter . I know the pain you feel , you loved her and done all you could on this side of life , but remember God loved her too and he saw her tiring also and as he promise he will return for her as her heavenly father to take his child to rest ,he decide to take her tire soul, and rock her in his bossom and gave her rest and peace where there will be no more sorrow or pain , to know he has her is a blessing that he has giving you ; to know she has peace in
god;s arms , continue to walk with the Lord an hold to God's unchanging hands and he will lighten your heavy burdens. and then one day while sitting on your couch you will smell mavis's sweet fragance you will smile then cry and know she never left you and now she watching over you and your family from above and then you will be so glad you did all you could and now
god has done the rest , all of us jennings in missisippi are with you in our hearts.
love you much

To Mr. Harris Roach & Family
I was saddened when I heard the news of Mavis's passing but then I thought about how she was and how she is now; I was rejoicing and praising God because she is in the Hands of a Loving Father where there is no more sickness and suffering. She has her glorified body and if you could only see her now; she's walking streets of gold. If you thought she was pretty while here; you should see that big pretty smile she has on her face now. Don't weep as those who have no hope; you will see her again one day. May the God of hope fill you with all joy & peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Rom.15:13)
With Deepest Sympathy, Love & Blessings.

I send my thoughts and prayers to the family. Mavis was a wonderful woman, and I always really looked up to her. She always stuck right by me when I was in Sick Bay at Welborn and brought me mints to eat while we watched the Cosby Show together. She was so good to me and knew just how to make me smile. I loved her dearly. I haven't seen her in years, but she's always been in my heart.

Mama,
Losing you has been the most difficult moment in my life. You were more than my mama, you were my best friend. Most people dream of having the kind of mother that I had in you. We could laugh like silly teenagers but I could also depend on you to bring me back down to earth and show me the way to be a strong woman. You brought me up to be strong and independent like you. You were always there to help me with the girls when I needed it most. There's no way we will ever forget the love, advice, and the memories you have given us. You deserve a crown full of diamonds, rubies, and pearls for the true Queen that you are. I love you with all my heart and soul will always keep you near my heart.

Our hearts were sadden to hear of Mavis' passing, but we know she is in a much better place and resting in the arms of a loving God. To the Calert-Holiman & Roach family know that remember God can heal a broken heart, but he has to have all the pieces. Take it to the Lord and leave it there. Proverbs 23:26
