I would like to apologize for the delayed post, I was just directed to this site. I was very sorry to hear about your loss and my thoughts and prayers go out to you. I had the opportunity to get to know Mr. Nixon very well. It started as did most in school, but didn’t stop there. Later in life is when I really got to know him, as he was a very good customer at the store. I was able to talk, laugh, joke, and just converse with him on almost a daily basis. He will be truly missed!!

Dear Sharon and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Nixon's passing. He was a very, very nice man, with whom I would often joke as I would go into my Spanish class right next to his room. I know that my family and countless of his students also thought alot of him. The outpouring of shock at his passing, and positive comments I received about him after posting notification of his passing on my Facebook page was overwhelming. He clearly made a tremendous impact on many lives, and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I always held Mr. Nixon in highest regard and great respect. He was such a good teacher, and just a very good person. I am blessed to have had him as a teacher. I remember when Stacy and my baby sister Danae sat on the sidelines in Jr. High when Mr. Nixon coached our Chrisney basketball team. I still have the photographs. His loss to all is great. You are in my prayers.

So I'll never forget the day Herr Nixon brought in a bottle of deer scent--in the 1970s, there were a lot of hunters in our class and we loved to talk about best blinds, equipment, etc. Mike opened it to demonstrate its scent and did not cap it properly. Of course, the bottle was knocked off that desk and our classroom never smelled the same again. He was a great teacher and I loved him. Ich vergesse ihn nie...

Dear Sharon and family, My name is Becky Satterfield. Mr. Nixon Coached me in cross country and I was an english student of his. I was the first girl to ever run cross country at heritage hills and without his love and support i never would have been as driven in life as i have been. He holds such a special place in my heart, and will forever. The world has lost a true angel. I will always love him for all he helped me accomplish. I am so sorry for you and your family, you will forever be in my prayers. I hope that you and your family get thru this as best as you can. Just know that he had a huge impact on so many people and will be greatly missed. Love to you and your family.
Sincerely
