Ruby Jochim Obituary

POSEYVILLE — Ruby Aileen Jochim, 87, from Poseyville, died at Deaconess Hospice Care, Deaconess Hospital, on Saturday, December 22, 2007.

Born August 22, 1920, in Griffin, Indiana, to Henry and Ada Elizabeth (Moutray) Paul. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the St. Francis Ladies Club.

The family would like to thank Hospice for the care they provided to Ruby.

Surviving are sons, Dennis Neaveill of Poseyville and Fred Jochim of Evansville; daughter, Freda Winterheimer of Lady Lake, Fla.; brother, Lloyd Paul of Mount Vernon, Ind.; grandsons, Nickolas and Clint Jochim and Shawn, Grover and Billy Neaveill; granddaughters, Carrie Cox, Andrea Melvin and Elizabeth Hansen; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her first husband, Grover Fay Neaveill, second husband, Edward Jochim, brothers, Harold and Carrol Paul, and sister, Mary Paul.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, December 27, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, at Werry Funeral Home, Poseyville Chapel, with a rosary/memorial service at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Church or the American Legion Auxiliary.
