He was in maintenance for Tyson Foods, was a Navy veteran and member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Pauletta; daughter, Amanda Jarvis; sons, Aaron and Matthew Jarvis; sisters, Joyce Nugent and Elaine Woods; brother, Larry; seven grandchildren; and a stepgrandson.
Graveside services 11 a.m. today at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, with military rites.
There will be no visitation at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Mahr Cancer Center.
