Edward Whitmer Obituary
Edward Dean “Eddy” Whitmer passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the age of 73. He was born April 4, 1952, in Tokyo, Japan to Norman Whitmer and Ruby Whitmer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Tanya Babcock Whitmer and three brothers. Eddy is survived by his daughters Megan Whitmer, Chandra Whitmer Wingerter and her husband Josh, and Melissa Babcock Argrave and her husband Bobby, and his son Aaron Whitmer and his wife Rebecca. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Eddy enjoyed fishing, art and collecting unique finds. An avid video game enthusiast, he could spend hours mastering his craft. We will miss his undeniable sense of humor.
At his request, private services were held for his family.
