William J. Biedenkopf 'Bill'

Newburgh, Ind.

William J. Biedenkopf "Bill', 81, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at his home.

He was born November 2, 1935, in Grandview, Ind., to the late Walter and Maud (Dawson) Biedenkopf.

William was a Purdue University graduate, United States Army Veteran and had worked as a lab technician for Alcoa for many years. He retired in 1999.

Bill attended the Lutheran church of Grandview and was an avid knife collector, and thoroughly enjoyed fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma (Cotton) Biedenkopf (2016); and a sister, Nancy Baur.

William is survived by his loving daughter, Stacey Gustafson of Evansville, Ind.; a sister, Mary Harpenau of Richmond, Ind.; and two granddogs, Gizmo, and Sammy Boy.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Ind., with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will take place noon until time of service on Saturday.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
