William Springer Obituary
Evansville, Ind.
William A. Springer, 87, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He was born in Carlisle, Ky., on June 26, 1928 to Henry and Ella Bee (Helfer) Springer. He loved bass fishing, especially at Barley Lake. William also enjoyed spending time with his family, working crossword puzzles and watching U.K. basketball. He was a Kentucky Colonel.
William is survived by his daughter, Lyn Hayden (Tom) of Evansville, Ind.; sister, Mina Sue Scarborough of Virginia; grandchildren, Jeremy Hayden, Dan W. Dollison, and Kerri Hayden; and great-grandchildren, Christian Hayden and Gage Hayden.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Springer; daughter, Karen L. Dollison; son, Larry A. Springer; grandson, Matt J. Hayden; brothers, Teddy and J.B. Springer; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at Browning Funeral Home 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, Ind., 47711 with Pastor Art Christmas officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park with military rites conducted by Retired Veterans Memorial Club.
Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
