Sandra J. Springer, 79, finished her race on this earth on February 27, 2026, in Silver City, NM. The family will formally greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in the Event Center at Kincannon Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, March 6th, at the Eldorado Church of Christ with Duane Springer and Eric Houck officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
Sandra was born to Greer and Faye Weightman on June 22, 1946, in Childress, TX, and known as “Kid, Aunt Sandy, Mom, and Sandra” to her family. Sandra graduated from Childress High School in 1964. She married Kenneth Springer in Kirkland, Texas, January 8, 1966. Together, they planted roots of their own in Eldorado, OK.
Every weekend, Sandra would make phone calls to her sisters, children, and friends to see how everyone was doing and keep in touch. She was the glue that always held the family together. All of her nieces and nephews were considered as her own along with her four children. In times of need, she would help anyone that needed it.
Sandra was a long-time member of the Eldorado Church of Christ. She always made sure the building was tidy, communion was ready for Sunday, deposits were made, mail checked, and bills were paid. Each member was special to her.
She was proceeded in death her husband, Kenneth, who passed away in September of 2006; her daughter, Cynthia Reese; her parents, C. G. and Faye Weightman; and her beloved sisters, Billie Weightman Werner and Elise Weightman Cagle.
Sandra is survived by her three sons, Duane Springer and wife, Adele of Bayard, NM, Bryan Springer and wife, Carrie of Martha, and Eric Springer and wife, Autumn of Eldorado; nine grandchildren whom she dearly loved and was very proud of - Elizabeth Reese, Brent Reese, Michael Reese, Keith Springer, Bre Anne Springer, Wyatt Springer, Christopher Springer, Ashlynn Pierson, and Jandi Springer; three great-grandchildren, Shawn, Darian, and Ariana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Keith, Bre Anne, Wyatt, Christopher, Jandi, and her nephew, Greer Dean Cagle. Honorary pallbearers will be the rest of her family and friends.
