Mount Vernon, Ind.
In the most calm period of his life, Zachary "Zak" Robert Lear, 33, was tragically taken from his loved ones in a motor vehicle accident on July 3, 2013.
Zak was born in Evansville to Bob and Judy (Bryant) Lear on May 17, 1980. He was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. Zak was a fan of country music, NASCAR and the Dukes of Hazard. He also liked 4-wheeling, horseback riding, camping, fishing, playing pool and cutting grass.
Just last month Zak and his family enjoyed a weeks' vacation in the Smoky Mountains, a place he had always wanted to visit.
The light of his life the past two years has been his precious niece, Zoey. She has added a new dimension to his life.
In addition to his parents and niece, Zak's memory will be cherished by his sister, Ashley (Chris) Seaton; grandparents, Russell Bryant, the late Sue Bryant, Robert and Carolyn Lear; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 7, 2013, from 1 until 6 p.m. at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 8, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider memorial contributions to Kairos Outside of Southern Indiana or to the Hadi Shrine Temple.
