Daniel Rose Obituary

Daniel A. Rose, age 57, passed away peacefully with his family around him on April 19, 2025. Born in May of 1967 to Benny Edward and Ima Lee (Moore) Rose in Marion, Ohio, Dan was an adventurous spirit who lived life to the fullest. He loved to work with his hands and was happiest when he was busy, he loved farming with his brother, fishing, and camping with his family, working on cars as a mechanic. He was a jokester, turning off the lantern on his daughter during a storm while on a camping trip and playing other silly pranks. He loved riding his motorcycle and feeling the wind in his "hair" and bugs on his forehead. There was nothing Dan loved more than his family, especially his grandchildren. Though he was always in pain, he never let it keep him from the important moments – one being the precious dance with his daughters at their weddings. He was full of life and devoted every moment he could to helping others. He will be deeply missed. Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Ima, many friends and family, and his beloved soul dog, Tucker. He leaves behind to cherish the memories made: his wife, Lynn Rose, his daughters, Amber (Brandon) Austin, and Jessica (Shawn) Walker, his brother, Benny (Jill) Rose, his sister, Jennifer (Brian) Gross, his sisters-in-law, Natalie (Troy) Tackett, Jayde Sutton, and Jessica (Jay) Swain, Mother-in-law Julie Conley, his grandchildren, Kiera Walker, Jaxon Walker, Wade Walker, Willow Walker, Brennan Walker, Kerrington Austin, and Brynleigh Rayne Austin. Dan also cared deeply for his nephews and neices; Derek (Lori) Johnson family, Kyle (Amanda) Johnson family, Rachel (Adam) Banks family, Abby (Jack) Langenkamp family, Hunter James Sutton, Cheyenne (Brandon) Malacara, his best friend, Jimmy Burris (and family), and his beloved fur-babies, Dozer, Buster, and Sadie. If anyone has a motorcycle and the weather permits, the family would love it if you rode it to the service in honor of Dan. Also to honor Dan please wear comfortable clothes and nothing black. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to cover funeral costs. Those can be called in to the funeral home or sent via Venmo: @austinbra13 code: 8999 A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, from 5 to 7 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. On Saturday April 26 there will be a potluck to also celebrate Dan at Marion Christian Center on Richland Road. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to help the Rose family in their time of need.
