Joann Lafferty Obituary

Joann Lafferty, 78 years old, of Marion passed away Friday morning. She was the daughter of Opal and Wib Adkins and the middle child of 5. In 1966 she married Charles Junior Sullivan, and they had children, Rita Miley of Galloway, Ohio, Charles Stephenson (Dawn) Sullivan of Green Camp, Ohio and Rhonda Sullivan of Marion. In 1975 her husband Charles was killed in a coal mining accident. This led Joann to her next husband, Phil Lafferty, whom she married in 1979 in Grundy, Virginia. Joann is preceded in death by Parents, first husband Charles, a brother, a sister and 1 grandchild. Joann is survived by Husband Phil Lafferty, her three children, a brother Willis Adkins of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, a sister Norma Jean (Howard) Justice of Pikeville, Kentucky, a brother-in-law, Millard Daniels of Pikeville, Kentucky. Along with 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, with one on the way. There will be calling hours on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Boyd Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The funeral service will start at 10 a.m. at the Boyd Funeral Home. There will be an interment service immediately following the funeral service at the Green Camp Cemetery.
