Larry Watkins

Larry Watkins, 79, of Galion, Ohio passed away peacefully, received the hands of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and was led home to heaven on Saturday, July 19, 2025. A cherished family member and friend, Larry touched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness. Larry was born May 19, 1946 in Adrian, Michigan. Larry had a passion for life that was evident in his many interests. He enjoyed fishing, spending time at the campground, and had a special love for classic cars. He restored a few classic vehicles and treasured his time spent at his car lot. Larry also loved remodeling homes, showcasing his creativity, and tinkering with tools in his garage. In the last months of life, Larry was grateful to spend quality time with his great grandsons, Joe and new baby Levi, creating cherished memories that will be held dear by his family. Above all, Larry held deep convictions about his faith. His love for the Lord was paramount, and he believed fervently in the importance of forgiveness-both giving and receiving. One of his greatest priorities was ensuring that his family would have salvation. Larry was preceded in death with open arms in heaven by several family members, including his grandmother Katherine McGinnis, grandfather James McGinnis, mother Evelyn Watkins, two brothers Steve Watkins and Micky Watkins, and especially Aunt Betty and Uncle Denny Jackson. Larry is survived by his numerous loved ones who hold him dear, especially his great grandsons, Joe and Levi Harris of Galion. His spirit will always remain in the hearts of those who knew him. A private graveside service will be held, and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. The Snyder Funeral Home, Richardson Davis Chapel is honored to serve the Watkins family.
