Albert Mobilio Obituary

Mobilio, Albert R.
Albert R. Mobilio, age 82, of Stratford, beloved husband of Grace Belfiore Mobilio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on May 9, 1934, he was a son of the late Vincent and Pasqualina Persica Mobilio. A graduate of Central High School, Al went on to Wright Tech to earn his barber license. He pursued a career as a barber, having owned his own shop. He was also a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft and was also formerly employed by Handy & Harmen. An avid Yankee fan, he enjoyed many trips to the casino. But above all these things he was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. The memories of his love will always remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. In addition to his beloved wife of 59 years, Grace, survivors include four loving children, a son, Albert Mobilio, three daughters, Laura Viscount, Patty Mobilio and Maureen Bergeron and her husband Ronald, three cherished grandchildren, Valerie Viscount, Taylor Bergeron and Jack Bergeron, two great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Chance as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Marie Lupinacci, Viola Pace and Natalie DiCicco and three brothers, Joseph, Ernest and Rudy Mobilio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. I went to Washington School with Al in the late 1940's. A few years ago I met Al and Grace at the Oxford Senior Center. A fine gentleman he was and a gracious couple. Always a pleasure to see them. Rest in peace.

Gracie, I am so sorry to hear of Al's passing. He enjoyed his life and adored his family. A fond memory was the Christmas party Tony and I had one year, where he played the piano for our guests for hours. He was a wonderful piano player as well as person. Our thoughts, prayers and love go out to you and your family during this difficult time. God bless you all.
