Angela "Angie" DiMario
Angela "Angie" (LaConte) DiMario, age 86, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on August 29, 1939, she was a daughter of the late William and Ida (Carnaroli) LaConte. Angela had been employed by the University of Bridgeport as an Administrative Assistant for 25 years of dedicated service before her retirement. She was a popular, out-going graduate of Stratford High School class of 1957. She had many friends and looked back on those days fondly. Angie had many varied interests, including cooking, collecting recipes and antiquing. She was a phenomenal cook, mastering many Italian dishes that were enjoyed by friends and family alike. She loved going to the beach any chance she could get, and later in life, enjoyed watching a variety of game shows from the comfort of her home. She had an affection for all animals and actively supported the rescue of elephants and local Humane Society organizations. Her grand dog, Maxie, will surely be left with a profound void because of Angela's passing.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Sabrina DiMario of Stratford, her brother, James LaConte and his wife, Gail of Orange, her sisters, Louise Jasenec of Bridgeport and Olympia LaConte of Stratford, her niece, Amy Ruggiero and her husband, Matthew of West Haven, her nephew, Robert Jasenec Jr. and his wife, Pamela of Somers, as well as her former husband, Adriano DiMario of Fort Ann, NY. She was predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Robert "Jay" Jasenec Sr. and George Brown, and her nephew, Paul Jesenec.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
