Bella Cody Obituary
Bella S. Cody, age 97 of Sun City, AZ, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in Trumbull. Mrs. Cody was born in Troon, Scotland and moved to Sun City from Fairfield in 1980, before returning to live in Trumbull. Mrs. Cody was predeceased by her husband, C. William Cody and is survived by four sons; Colin of Easton, Robert of Monroe, Daniel of Milford, Philip of California, and two grandchildren; Megan and Daniel. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30a.m., from the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00a.m., in Notre Dame of Easton Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Saturday morning after 9:30a.m., in the funeral home. To send online condolences please visit www.redgatehennessy.com

Altho Isabelle and I have been friends for nearly 40 years, I did not meet Aunt Bella and Uncle Bill until I moved to Sun City 17 years ago.
I found them to be a delightful couple and, since I have no living family I sort of "adopted" them. Many happy times were spent in their company and Bella and I shared a love for conversation. Getting to know her was a rewarding journey.
I miss her -- but I am sure she is having a wonderful time with the Angeles on High.

Aunt Bella was my favorite aunt - she always greeted you with a smile and cooked some great meals for us in Sun City and quite a few in Connecticut throughout the years. I will always remember my Godmother with great affection and love. My heartfelt sympathy to my cousins - Robert, Philip, Danny and Colin as you put your mother to rest. Love, Isabelle
