Cecilia (Bonnie) Anderson
Cecilia E. (Bonnie) Anderson of Easton, the beloved wife of Henry L. (Andy) Anderson, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 26 at the age of 70, surrounded by her family.
Bonnie graduated from Notre Dame High School, received her Bachelor's Degree from Southern Connecticut State University and held a Masters and 6th Year in Education. She taught for 42 years in the Bridgeport Public School system; at Hallen School, Webster and then Black Rock School, where she was a beloved elementary teacher.
Born in Bridgeport to the late John C. and Mary Grace Mandanici, Bonnie, a former Black Rocker, lived with her family in Easton for the past 35 years. In addition to her loving husband of 46 years, Bonnie will be immensely missed by her four children, Rebecca Anderson-Furlong and her husband Greg of Black Rock, Brian Anderson of Bridgeport, Ashley Anderson of London, England and Chad "Wick" Anderson and his fiancé Sarah Palleschi of Bridgeport.
Bonnie will also be dearly missed by her sister Mary Lou and her brother Frank Mandanici both of Bridgeport, John Mandanici and his wife Eileen of Shelton, along with her nieces and nephews in FL, VA, and CT.
She treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren- Liam, Delaney, Aiden and Owen. Bonnie was greatly anticipating her son Chad's first child this Christmas. A mother and grandmother to all of the family friends' children, she cherished being there for everyone.
From California to Vermont to Europe, she enjoyed traveling with her family, skiing, and relaxing on the beach. Known for her exceptional style and taste, she passes on her love of shopping, cooking, gardening and entertaining. Most of all, her family will miss how she made every holiday or event memorable, always the impeccable host, she made everyone feel at home.
In accordance with Bonnie's wishes, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Black Rock Elementary School for a future scholarship.
