Cornell Foder Obituary
Cornell "Sonny" Foder born June 29, 1933, in Bridgeport, CT. Died peacefully in his home of 21 years in Hinsdale, NH, on February 3, 2021.
Predeceased in 1995 by his loving wife Joan Pihonak Foder.
Survived by his children: daughter Suzanne Foder of Hinsdale, NH, and son David Foder of Trumbull, CT. Also survived by his brother-in-law Clarence Lucas of Shelton and several nieces and nephews.
Served in the United State Navy Seabee
Member of I.U.O.E Local 1478
61 year member of American Legion Post 177
Owner of Sonny's Backhoe Service of Bridgeport
Family and friends may gather for a celebration of Sonny's life on Saturday, August 7, 2021 beginning with a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Patrick Church RC Church, 851 North Ave., Bridgeport, CT, followed by a Christian burial at Gates of Heaven in Trumbull, CT, with military honors.

Will always remember Sonny fondly when we bought our first home in Bpt. Not only did he and his Backhoe dig us out of a lot of situations but he became like family hanging out with my father next door and even attending my daughter's christening. Such a special friend.

Suzanne and David we are so sorry to hear of your loss of dad. Sonny was a great guy, he always had a quip about something and brightened everyone´s day. He will be missed by all who had the good fortune to know him. God bless him and both of you.
