Doris Leila "Burbeck" Lovering

Doris Leila (Burbeck) Lovering, 95, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Everett Waldron Lovering, Jr., died peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Doris was born in Brattleboro, VT, on December 2, 1930, daughter of the late Malcolm Lee and Marguerite Agnes (Perkins) Burbeck.

Doris grew up in Hinsdale New Hampshire and was a graduate of Hinsdale High School. She attended University of New Hampshire, where she met Everett Lovering, Jr. They married on May 20, 1951. After Everett joined the Army, they started a family and traveled many times serving our country. They eventually decided to settle permanently in South Windsor, CT, where they resided until the end of their lives.

Doris worked in the banking industry for many years. She enjoyed raising her family, and she enjoyed gardening. In her senior years, after retirement, she took up line dancing, where she made many friends. She loved animals: her own pets which included many pet Corgi's and parrots, various stray cats, injured birds, turtles, fish, etc.

She leaves her children, Raymond Lovering and his wife Marsha of California, Robert Lovering of Oklahoma, and Susan Foy and her husband David of Vernon, CT; her two granddaughters whom she adored: Kelly Spillman, husband Greg, their children Bella, Payton, Christian of Tolland CT; and Kristina D'Amico, husband Andrew, their children Riley and Reagan of Budd Lake, NJ.

Funeral and burial will be private at the request of her family. In lieu flowers, donations in her memory may be made to local animal shelters or rescue organizations of your choice.
