Edward Romano Obituary

ROMANO Edward Romano, age 60, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Jean Romano. He is survived by three cherished sons: Keith Romano of Monroe, Matthew Romano of Jacksonville, FL and Mr. & Mrs. Christopher Romano of Southbury. He is also survived by two brothers, Joseph Romano of Clearwater FL, and Dennis Romano of East Haven. Born in New Haven on June 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Joseph and Gloria Savino Romano. Ed worked for Viacom as a Director of Communications and had a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He also served in the United States Army in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was a long time parishioner and daily communicant at St. Stephen's Parish in Trumbull, and most recently at St. Thomas the Apostle in Oxford. Ed also worshipped at the House of Prayer in Clearwater, Fla. Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Ed's life at: Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, on Tuesday, May 13th from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 6948 Main St, Trumbull, CT at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Johns Cemetery, Monroe. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to: Mission of Our Lady of the Angels, C/O Father Bob Lombardo, 3808 West Iowa St, Chicago, IL 60651 Friends and Family may send notes of encouragement and condolences to the Romano Family by logging on to WWW.MEM.COM.

Dear Jean and Sons,
Joe and I are so sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. He was the most gentle loving person we ever knew. Eddie's smiling face will remain always in our hearts. There is no doubt he is resting in the arms of Our Dear Lord, with the Blessed Mother at his side.
