Mrs. Hames, my deepest condolences to you and your family. I did not know your husband but I am sure he was a great man, and I am grateful for his Marine service. I am certain you made your husband's life a wonderful journey and I wish you peace and comfort. You were a wonderful teacher to me and your love and generosity was something that has impacted my life.

I worked with George at both Flood and Wooster Middle Schools as a school social worker for many years and had great respect for him.

George was a rock. I was painting ceilings for Pat and she shushed me to be very quiet as George was resting...but lo and behold, he was out back sharpening his tools!

George was an outstanding human being in that his integrity , determination and will power was admired by all who knew him. The most important things in his life were not material but the devotion and love he had for his wife and family. He will be greatly missed.

I have 4 favorite teachers and Mr. Hames is one of them. I was in his class back in the 60s and I carry a lot of what I learned from him with me today. Thank you, Mr. Hames, for being such a good teacher and not putting up with nonsense in our classroom. Bless you and your family.
