Helen Dzurenda Mudrick

MUDRICK Helen Dzurenda Mudrick, age 91, of Stratford, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2004, in 3030Park Health Care Center Fairfield. Mrs. Mudrick, a retired secretary for Mudrick's Appliance Co. Inc., was born in Bridgeport, to the late Andrew and Mary Dzurenda, and has been a lifelong Stratford resident. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church since its inception 50 years ago and was also a member of the Slovak Club, the Travel Club and the Marion Guild all of Our Lady of Grace, she enjoyed cooking Slovak foods, sewing, traveling and most of all her family. Survivors include her beloved sons, John A. Mudrick and his wife, Dorothy, of Stratford, and Gerald E. Mudrick and his wife, Caroline, of Trumbull; seven grandchildren, Dawn Noel and her husband, Robert, of Stratford, Michele Mudrick and her husband, Gary Case, of Glastonbury, John Mudrick and his wife, Mimi, of Milford, Deborah McGrath and her husband, Erin, of Stratford, Amy Mudrick of Stratford, Caroline Mazza and her husband, Shawn, of Fairfield, and Cheryl Vazzano and her husband, Richard, of Trumbull; nine great-grandchildren, Robert John and Luke Noel, Emma, Jack and Erin Michael McGrath, Garrison Mudrick Case, Sofie Caroline Mazza, Nicholas Gerald and Ava Talia Vazzano; a sister, Marion Dzurenda of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Mudrick; a son, James Mudrick; a brother George Dzurenda and a sister, Elsie Dzurenda. Funeral services will take place on Thursday August 5, at 9:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Mrs. Mudrick's family would like to thank the staff of 3030 Park H.C.C.
