Jeanette Marie Poidomani Paraska
Jeanette Marie Poidomani Paraska, age 78, devoted wife of the late Eugene Paraska, of Stratford, formerly of Fairfield, passed away on September 16, 2022 while traveling in Greece.
She will be lovingly remembered by family, including her son, Eugene Paraska II and his wife, Michele of Fairfield; her grandchildren, Angela and Eugene (Trey) Paraska III of Fairfield; her sisters, Dolores Mazas of Prospect, and Debra LaRose of Oxford; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Eugene, she was predeceased by her parents, George and Jennie Icato Poidomani; and one sister, Arlene Boyhan.
A 1962 graduate of Andrew Warde High School, Jeanette worked as a bookkeeper at many auto dealerships in Fairfield County until joining the family business, American Cable Electronic Services, LLC. She volunteered as a CCD Teacher at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church in Bridgeport, and a longtime parishioner of Holy Cross Church in Fairfield, where she volunteered for many church functions and events. Jeanette was an animal lover and a mother to her fur babies that needed homes.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 AM in Holy Cross Church, Fairfield, with her interment to immediately follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
