Jen and I became friends through the drama program at Nonnewaug High School. She was an amazingly giving person who would do anything for a friend. One of my fondest memories of her is when my mom accidentally dropped me off at school during a snow day. This was a time before cell phones so I knew it would be a while before she would be back. Standing by the payphones I called Jen to laugh about the situation. She insisted on coming out to get me and going out for breakfast together, something I tried to dissuede her from doing, but she came anyway. Even though we lost touch, I thought of her. I am glad to see she found true happiness in the short time she had on this earth. She will be missed.

I have many wonderful memories of time spent with Jen during high school. She was a terrific friend - genuinely caring and fun loving. I can still remember her enthusiasm for all living creatures when I first met her. I was deeply saddened when I heard that she is no longer with us. May everyone keep a place for her in their hearts.

I remember Jennifer and Melanie Adley as inseparable friends in 8th grade. It was such a pleasure to teach her. What a beauty! I remember her love of ballet and passion for animals. I am so sorry for your loss.
