Growing up next door all my life made me part of your family. All your relatives seemed to be mine. So many memories from her great cooking, the cookouts, the pool, the fireballs hidden under mom's bed...Joan was my second mother for so many years and we reconnected again in the past year talking on the phone. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. I will always remember her holding court on the stool in the kitchen where each and everyone of us and your friends came to hang out to talk to her about everything. So many laughs! May you all find comfort in the upcoming days and know she is reunited with all that loved her. May God watch over all of you in the upcoming days.

I had the good fortune to meet Dee Dee and Bob about three years ago and couldn't ask for better neighbors and friends....subsequently as will happen with friends I started to meet their family and friends...thus my knowing of Joan. She was witty and sharp...downright caustic at times but that is something that as you came to know her you took with a grain of salt. Dee Dee you should feel good about the devotion and constant attention and care you gave your Mom these last several years....a daughter's love unconditional!! My heart goes out to the whole family for your loss. Casey Goss
