I was shocked and saddened to hear of Joey's passing. I have the fondest memories of Joe when I was his soccer coach in Connecticut ODP and when he played in Soccer Squash tournaments I ran in Windsor Locks. He also coached for me in World Class Soccer, coaching my son. I enjoyed watching him grow from a competitive, energetic and sensitive boy into a man and wish we had stayed in touch over the years. As I recall Joey's thoughtfulness and kindness I am sure he will be sorely missed by his family and friends, to whom I send my deepest condolences.

Joe, It hurts to know that I will never talk to you again, never see your infectious smile or invite you to happy hour. God takes people for a reason; He must have had a good reason to take you from us.
My heartfelt condolences to your son and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Mr. Desandre from my job. I watched Evan grow up before my eyes the 4 years i worked at pumpkin patch. Evan was one of my favorite kids and so were his parents. You could see it in Joe's eyes that Evan was his world and the way Evan talked about his dad it was clear that the feelings were mutual. My thoughts and prayers are with Tina, Evan and the rest of the family at this time.
Love,
Miss Victoria

I will miss my "cuz" Joey dearly. Even though we didn't spend a great deal of time together, I have great memories of the times we did share. Joey would give his shirt off his back for you, he'd make you laugh, he had a positive attitude towards life and was overall a well rounded, excellent human being. Such a huge loss but I know in my heart, he's on to bigger and better things. xox T

Joe,
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind always be at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May the Lord hold you in the palm of his hand.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Joe for several years, and he was a terrific young man, always talking how much he loved you Evan. What I will miss most about him is his smile and how he loved life, and how he was always willing to help whenever I needed it. I will always keep you and your mother and grandmother, Evan in my prayers that all of you may feel God's arms around you, giving you the assurance of his love for you and your family. I am glad I knew you, Joe.
"Evan, like the glow of a candle...
May your memories of your father, Joe light your path and warm your heart in the days to come"

I am so sorry for your loss. I have lived across the street from Joe for the past 4 years but only in the past year have I gotten to know him. Our children have played together. He will be truly missed in our neighbor hood by many. He would be out there playing with the children as if he was 10 years old again. Thanks for the memories Joe...your neighbor 65 Morton Road!!

I wish to send my sincerest condolences to Joe’s family. I met and knew Joe through the APA pool league. I was extremely shocked to hear of his sudden death at such an early age. He will be deeply missed by all his friends in the APA. Although Joe and I faced each other frequently as adversaries on the pool table, I always considered Joe a good friend. Often we would sit, share a drink or two, and tell each other stories about our families, our jobs, our hopes and our dreams. I knew he love his family very much because he talked about them a lot and the joy they gave him, I can only hope the rest of his life gave him as much happiness as they did.

God Bless!

My sincere condolences go out ot Joe's family.Though our friendship wasn't for that long a period of time,I felt we had so much in common. We raced bikes together and spoke about our children like we knew each other a lifetime!I was with him the sunday before his passing, racing in the snow and rain.We had a ball!Joe was allways in front of me on the track! He will allways be first in my book!He pumped me up telling me to keep racing even though injuries dragged me down!I am sure he has found a bike in heaven and he is trying to jump every cloud in the sky!
