Dear Edna:

Betty and I were very saddened to hear of Jack's passing. We both have such fond memories of our years on Laurel Beach, and the Healy family remains at the top of our list.

The only consolation we have is that the good Lord will strengthen Jack in his service and grant him his everlasting peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Mrs. Healy,

Hi, my name is Colleen Swan, you might have seen me around Laurel Beach a couple of times but I would just like to say that I look up to you for so many reasons. You have inspired me to do so many things with my life. I was in complete shock when I was informed by my father (Zack Swan) that Mr. Healy had passed away. When I heard about this, I immediatley prayed for you and your family. For the 2 previous weeks before your husbands death, I was volunteering at the hospital and saw your sons. Everynight I went home and immediatley prayed for him and also for you. I know that God is watching over him. You are such a wounderful lady and I admire you greatly. You have a wonderful and gorgeous family. You, your husband, and the rest of your family will always have a place in my heart and prayers. Your husband has also had an impact in my life. I have learned to live life to the fullest. My comfirmation name is Frances. I have come to learn that that was also your husbands middle name. Now everyday I will have a constant reminder to live my life to the fullest. I wish you the best of luck in the future.. and i will most likey see you in church on Sunday. Just know that me and the rest of the Swan/Shanley family would like you to know that we are here for you.We love you!

Love Colleen Swan

Aside from all the great Laurel Beach memories, Jack held a special place in my heart. His letters of encouragement and understanding got me through a couple of very difficult times in Vietnam. My prayers and thoughts are with the entire Healy family.
